1) Be Your Own Boss
A career in lashing makes it possible for you to be your own boss. You have the ability to be in charge of EVERYTHING from what services you offer and how to price them to how to design your studio and what to promote on your website or Instagram.
Being your own boss also means that you are able to determine your own schedule. You can see clients as little or as much as you want and create a schedule that caters to your lifestyle.
2) Have Career Flexibility
While we’re on the topic of flexible hours, let’s also talk about career flexibility. Becoming a lash artist gives you freedom and flexibility with your career.
You can focus full-time on lashing OR do it on the side to earn some extra income. Down the line, you can even expand your options by becoming a lash educator or partnering with a top lash brand as an ambassador.
3) Earn a Stable Income
High quality lash extensions are a luxury service that offers major earning potential.
A full classic lash set can be priced anywhere from $150 - $300. Clients also need fills every 2-3 weeks that can cost up to $100+. Plus, if you sell retail products in your salon (think aftercare items like lash shampoo, cleansing brushes, etc.) you can earn up to $100 extra per appointment.
But don’t expect to charge premium prices right off the bat. Start by investing in a good training program. Being properly trained is crucial (more on that in a little bit). Also, put in the time to practice your skills. The more skilled you are as a lash artist, the higher you can charge for your services.
